Terms of Service

Effective 11 September 2026

These terms govern your use of the ScreenMate application, website and related services ("Service") provided by CKTDIGITALS LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales, Suite 11019, 5 Brayford Square, London, United Kingdom ("we", "us"). By installing or using ScreenMate you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

ScreenMate is a desktop assistant that, when you press a key, captures your screen and your spoken question and returns an AI-generated answer. The Service is currently in beta: features may change, and occasional errors or downtime can occur.

2. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the application on Windows computers you own or control, for your own use. You may not reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the application, or use it to build a competing service, except where the law allows.

3. Accounts and credits

Each installation receives an anonymous account with a number of free questions ("credits"). Additional credits can be purchased in packs when available. One credit is used per question. Credits do not expire, are not transferable between people, and have no cash value. Linking an email address lets you keep credits across reinstalls and devices; when two accounts are merged, only purchased credits are carried over.

Creating multiple accounts to obtain additional free credits, sharing accounts, or otherwise circumventing usage limits is not allowed and may result in suspension.

4. Purchases and refunds

Purchases are processed by our payment provider, which acts as merchant of record and issues the receipt. Prices are shown in US dollars before purchase. If you are a consumer in the UK or EU you have a statutory right to cancel a digital purchase within 14 days; by using purchased credits you agree that we begin supplying the service immediately and that the right to cancel is lost for credits already used. Unused credits from a purchase made within the last 14 days are refundable on request. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to break the law, to infringe the rights of others, to generate harmful or abusive content, or to interfere with the Service. When using ScreenMate alongside games or other software, you are responsible for complying with that software's rules; ScreenMate only takes screenshots and does not read or modify other programs.

6. AI-generated content

Answers are generated automatically and can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. ScreenMate is designed to say when it is unsure, but you should verify anything important before relying on it. You are responsible for how you use the answers, including any text you paste from the clipboard.

7. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what data we process and why. It forms part of these terms.

8. Availability and changes

We may update the application (including automatic updates), change features, or change the AI models used, to improve the Service. We may suspend or discontinue the Service with reasonable notice; unused purchased credits will be refunded in that case.

9. Disclaimer and liability

The Service is provided "as is" during the beta. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses arising from reliance on AI-generated answers. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the application; email support@screenmate.me to delete your account. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you also benefit from any mandatory protections of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country.
