Refund Policy

Effective 12 September 2026

This policy explains when you can get your money back for a ScreenMate subscription, and how to ask. It applies to purchases from CKTDIGITALS LIMITED, Suite 11019, 5 Brayford Square, London, United Kingdom. Questions and refund requests: support@screenmate.me.

1. Try before you pay

Every installation of ScreenMate includes 10 free questions. No card and no account are needed to use them. We ask you to spend those before subscribing, because they are the best way to find out whether ScreenMate works on your screen, with your microphone and in your language.

2. 14-day cancellation right

If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom or the European Union, you have a statutory right to cancel a digital purchase within 14 days of buying it. You can use this right for any reason, and we will refund the payment.

One thing to know: by starting to use the questions included in your plan, you agree that we begin supplying the service immediately. Where you have used part of your monthly questions, we may reduce the refund in proportion to what you used. If you have used none, you get the full amount back.

3. After 14 days

Subscriptions renew monthly. You can cancel at any time, and cancelling stops the next payment; your plan keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for. We do not automatically refund part-used months after the 14-day window.

That said, we would rather you were happy than technically correct. If ScreenMate did not work as described, if you were charged for a renewal you did not intend, or if something went wrong on our side, write to us and we will refund it. We do not require a reason and we do not make it difficult.

4. How to cancel

Open ScreenMate, go to Settings, and choose Manage subscription. This opens a secure page where you can cancel, change your plan, or update your payment card. You can also write to support@screenmate.me and we will do it for you.

5. How to request a refund

Email support@screenmate.me from the address linked to your account, or include the Account ID shown in Settings. We reply within two business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method and typically appear within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.

6. Who takes the payment

Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as the merchant of record. Paddle appears on your statement and issues your receipt, and refunds are processed through Paddle. We never see or store your card details.

7. Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, we keep your plan active for a short grace period and let you know so you can update your card. If it is not resolved, the subscription ends and your account returns to the free tier. Unused questions you already paid for are not taken away during a failed-payment period.

8. Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, or the consumer protection law of the country where you live.
